My latest boudoir session, themed around “The Joker,” marked my fourth shoot with Honey Suckle Boudoir and was by far my favorite. Each session I’ve booked has been a celebration: a new job, a better apartment, or even the end of a relationship. This particular shoot was about embracing a thrilling new chapter in my life.
One of the aspects I cherish most about these sessions is the collaboration. Jamie’s expertise in setting the scene, guiding poses, and boosting confidence is unmatched. What truly elevates the experience, however, is how she encourages personal creativity. Integrating my own ideas into the shoot made it feel deeply personal and incredibly empowering. Collaborating with Jamie and the beauty team to bring our combined vision to life was not just fun—it was profoundly impactful.
Despite my growing confidence, I still faced some anxiety with each shoot, primarily due to my ongoing struggles with acne and body image. Yet, with each session, I’ve found myself falling deeper in love with who I am, imperfections and all.
For those considering their own boudoir session, my advice is straightforward: come well-rested, bring a playlist that gets you pumped, and make sure to eat! Adding personal touches to the set can also enhance the experience, making it even more unique and meaningful.
Lastly, do it for yourself. The environment at Honey Suckle Boudoir is incredibly supportive—you’ll be surrounded by a team of badass women who help you recognize your own strength and beauty. For me, these shoots have been monumental steps toward self-love. I can’t recommend it enough. Embrace the opportunity, and prepare to discover a new appreciation for yourself. ❤️
